On the Cedar Point Safety & Training Center campus, this new Pole Training Facility was completed to allow for all-weather training. With a large soil area in the middle of the building, KCPL is able to pull their linemen trucks inside, lift and erect, and climb poles in a safe environment. A mezzanine level allows instructors to be easily assess the trainees on form. Exhaust systems around the perimeter of soil pit allow for connecting trucks safely inside the building while running. Line trucks are able to fully extend their buckets without reaching the roof structure.
